GT to take on SRH [iplt20.com]
It’s time for another Super Sunday double header in IPL 2024 season and for the afternoon clash, Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 3.30 PM onwards.
While GT is coming off a massive loss against CSK, SRH rattled league records in their previous fixture against MI to mark the dawn of a new era.

Gujarat Titans
Shubman Gill led Gujarat Titans suffered a massive 63 runs defeat against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) last week, having won their league opener against Mumbai Indians.
Having leaked 206 runs in the first innings courtesy to Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube’s carnage, GT failed to recover in the chase.
The fall of wickets at regular intervals resulted in a humiliating loss for last season’s runners-up.
Having said that, it wasn’t simply GT’s day, as none of their plans materialised into something positive. However, Gill’s men have the firepower at the top, and Rashid Khan’s resurgence will be key as they are up against one of the strongest batting units in the league.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad demolished Mumbai Indians in their previous fixture by stashing the highest-ever team total in IPL’s history. Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen’s madness in Hyderabad guided SRH to a total of 277 mammoth first-innings.
While MI fought back bravely, they fell short of around 30 runs in the end. Overall, it was an entertaining game of cricket where SRH surprisingly had an upper end over a champion side like MI.
Regardless, SRH has finally struck the right balance in the lineup after many years. The duo of Head and Klaasen are destructive and will continue to be SRH’s core strength this year.

GT vs SRH: Narendra Modi Stadium Pitch Report
The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium is known to be conducive to batting, with its flat surface and even bounce providing an advantage to batters. The previous game held at this venue offered equal assistance to both the batters and bowlers. The pacers were largely successful and due to the slight amount of dew, chasing would be relatively easier. The average first innings runs is around 170 runs at this venue.
