Experienced Indian batter Karun Nair had a dream outing with the bat, as he slammed a match-winning half-century in Mysore Warriors' latest clash against Mangaluru Dragons in the ongoing Maharaja Trophy.

Coming at three, Nair showcased his power-hitting prowess to amass 64 runs off just 31 deliveries. During his stay, he hit six boundaries and four maximums, helping his side claim an emphatic victory in this match.

Among all his boundaries, an audacious Reverse sweep grabbed the attention of the spectators, as it had shades of legendary Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.

The incident occurred during the 18th over of Mysore Warriors' innings when they were already on the verge of a commanding win.

As the Dragons' off-spinner Macneil Hadley Noronha came into the attack, Nair, who is in sublime form, greeted him with an outrageous six over the backward point.

Noronha bowled a full-length delivery outside the off stump from around the wicket, with the ball moving slightly away from Nair.

However, the premier Karnataka batter decided to play a reverse sweep and executed it perfectly. The ball was so well-timed that it sailed over the backward point boundary for a six.

Noronha eventually emerged as Karun Nair's nemesis, dismissing him two balls later. However, the damage was already done by then, as Mysore Warriors chased the total successfully, with Jagadeesha Suchith scoring the runs in the 19th over. This was Mysore's sixth victory this season, and they moved to second place in the points table.
