Recently, Cricket Australia revealed the list of players who have registered for the Big Bash League 2024-25 draft. 

To the delight of cricket fans across the globe, the much-awaited Big Bash League 2024-25 will be held in December-January. 

Eight top-class teams- Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers, Perth Scorchers, Adelaide Strikers, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat- will battle it out in forty group-stage matches before the top teams proceed to the finals. 

Overall, 44 matches will be played across nine different venues before we get our new BBL champion. 

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia has revealed the list of players who have registered for the BBL draft. Like every year, players from Pakistan have grabbed the limelight, with several marquee international cricketers showing their interest to feature in the lucrative league. 

Besides ace speedsters Haris Rauf, who has previously played for Melbourne Stars, Pakistan Test skipper Shan Masood, spinner Abrar Ahmed and veteran opener Fakhar Zaman are few notable names on the list. 

Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, who led Pakistan to a Champions Trophy title in 2017, also features in the list alongside Abdullah Shafique and Imad Wasim.
