Pakistan To Drop Agha Salman And Bring Abrar, Jamal For 2nd Test Vs Bangladesh: Report

According to emerging reports, Pakistan might replace Agha Salman with seam-bowling all-rounder Aamir Jamal for the second Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Under Shan Masood's leadership, Pakistan incurred a shambolic ten-wicket defeat in the first Test, as the Tigers swatted them aside by ten wickets.

Jamal to replace Salman as a better all-round package

The hosts are down by 0-1 and will lose the series if they don't end up winning this game. So, considering the match's importance, Pakistan could drop Salman, who had an underwhelming outing with bat and ball in the last Test.

According to PTI, the home team is keen to bring Aamir Jamal into the playing XI, as he adds immense value to their line-up as an all-rounder. He was instrumental with bat and ball for Pakistan during their Australia tour last year.

So, his inclusion will strengthen Pakistan's bowling unit without making them compromise with their batting depth.

"The idea is to strengthen the bowling options by playing Abrar and Jamal who also bats well and would fit in at number seven instead of Salman Ali Agha,” a source close to the development told PTI.

Furthermore, the source also claimed that Abrar Ahmed would replace Mohammad Ali, who blew hot and cold with the ball in the first Test.

Pakistan definitely missed a proper spinner in the last game, and it seems they are keen to rectify the mistake by including the wily tweaker in their playing XI.
