Abhinav Manohar has been in stellar form in Maharaja Trophy 2024 and has been a lone-warrior with the bat for Shivamogga Lions in this season. Now, in the 25th match, he has once again shown his might with a match-winning 76 off 34 balls against Gulbarga Mystics where he smashed a final-over winning six against Vijaykumar Vyshak.

The right-handed batter who plays for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League came out to bat at number 4 as an Impact player. Lions were chasing a massive target of 207 and needed their best batter of the tournament to deliver, and Manohar did not disappoint. 

Manohar kept hitting sixes with ease at regular intervals and though Shivamogga lost four wickets in the chase, the equation was brought down to the stage where they needed just 6 in the final over.

Vijaykumar Vyshak who plays for RCB in IPL needed to do something special to defend the total, but he ended up bowling a touch shortish delivery on middle and Manohar pumped it over deep mid-wicket with ease.

He followed it up with a 'Zip It' celebration as Shivamogga players charged towards the ground to hug their superstar. So far, Bengaluru Blasters, Hubli Tigers and Gulbarga Mystics have qualified for the semis while Shivamogga Lions after this win are at the number 5 position with three wins in nine matches.
