Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill are two of India's most celebrated cricketers, often admired for their contributions to the sport. Kohli, known as the "King," and Gill, referred to as India’s "Prince," share a mentor-mentee relationship that is widely cherished by fans.

However, a recent video that has taken the internet by storm shows a very different dynamic between the two. In the clip, Kohli is seen harshly criticizing Gill, casting doubt on his future in cricket. This video quickly went viral, causing a stir among fans and raising questions about its authenticity.

While the video might have seemed real at first glance, it was soon revealed to be AI-generated. In the clip, Virat Kohli is purportedly heard saying that while Gill is talented, he has a long way to go before he can be considered a cricket legend.

The former captain allegedly compares himself to Sachin Tendulkar, emphasizing the gap between potential and greatness. This fabricated content was met with shock and concern, with many netizens expressing how easily they were deceived.

The incident sparked discussions about the dangers of AI, with fans commenting, “For a moment, I thought it was real 😭 AI is dangerous for sure.”

What’s Next for Virat Kohli?

As the controversy surrounding the fake video subsides, cricket fans are eagerly awaiting Virat Kohli’s return to the field. The modern-day legend is set to be back in action during the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, starting on September 19.

After a brief break following India’s recent ODI series loss to Sri Lanka, Kohli has been spending quality time with his family. He was recently spotted carrying shopping bags on the London streets with his wife, Anushka Sharma.
