Cricket is a game where tempers flare, and in T20s it becomes even more charged up given the adrenaline that the format generates.

Last evening during a clash between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024, England's Jason Roy and Pakistan's Iftikhar Ahmed got into a spat on-field while playing for respective franchises.

The ugly incident took place during the second innings when Gladiators were chasing a massive target and Roy was in the middle.

During a small meeting for a DRS appeal by Roy against David Willey, Ahmed indulged in verbal banter with the former, who soon confronted the latter mid-pitch while taking to his partner Saud Shakeel. Both players had to be separated by Sultan players, including captain Mohammad Rizwan.

Sadly, Roy could not take the DRS as the timer ran out, which witnessed the hard-hitting opener back in the pavilion, who could be seen hurling his bat and helmet on the ground in frustration.

Roy's departure opened the floodgates for Sultans, who ended up winning the last PSL 2024 group match quite easily by 79 runs.

Meanwhile, Ahmed also played a handy role with the bat during Multan's batting, playing an 20-run cameo, which included two fours and one six, helping his side reach 185 in their 20 overs.

Sultans will clash in Qualifier against Peshawar Zalmi tomorrow, while Quetta will face Islamabad United in Eliminator 1 on Friday.
