In the ongoing first Champions Trophy 2025 match between Pakistan and New Zealand at the National Bank in Karachi, Haris Rauf marked his return as the right-arm seamer missed the recently concluded tri-series after suffering an injury in the opening match.
Rauf was kept out of action as a precautionary measure and returned to the playing XI for the opening Champions Trophy match. However, he was greeted with a six by Will Young on the first ball of his spell.
Rauf clocked mid-130 kmph, but Young found a top edge that sailed over the boundary ropes for a maximum. The right-arm seamer wasn't impressed by that delivery and looked into the skies following the six. Watch the shot here.

Despite being hit for a six, Rauf did not shy away from bowling his natural length and finally succeeded in his 3rd over when he got rid of dangerous Daryl Mitchell. Talking about the ongoing match, while Shaheen is struggling to get any assist from the pitch, Naseem Shah has been the pick of the bowlers alongside Abrar Ahmed and Rauf with a wicket each. At the time of writing this article, New Zealand are 73/3 after 16.3 overs.
Following the wicket, Rauf celebrated the dismissal in style and jumped high in the air, shrugging off any injury concerns as well.
