Stylish Sri Lankan batter Pathum Nissanka helped his side get off to a flying start in their second group-stage T20 World Cup game against Bangladesh. However, the right-handed batter fell short of a well-deserved half century, with Mustafizur Rahman dismissing him with a well-disguised delivery. 

The incident occurred during the ninth over of Sri Lankan innings when Nissanka was forming a consolidating stand with Dhananjaya de Silva following the cheap dismissals of Kusal Mendis and Kamindu Mendis. 

However, Mustafizur emerged as the saviour for Bangladesh, getting rid of the well-set batter with a brilliant delivery. 

After conceding two singles, Mustafizur was hit for a boundary as Nissanka dispatched his fourth delivery disdainfully into the stands. 

However, his comeback was nothing short of remarkable as he jolted Sri Lanka with Nissanka's massive wicket. 

Coming over the wicket, Mustafizur bowled an off cutter, with Nissanka trying for a big shot. However, failed to time it properly as the ball went straight up in the air. Najmul Hossain Shanto, stationed at cover, took a simple catch and threw the ball in the air to express his emotions. 

After Nissanka's departure, Charith Asalanka joined De Silva in the middle. As of writing, the Lankans were 84 for three in 11.2 overs.
