In the ongoing match between India D and India A, Tilak Varma stole the limelight after he scored a century on day 3 of the second round of the Duleep Trophy. India A are in a commanding position in this match, as the Mayank Agarwal-led side posted a 488-runs target for India D.

India A, batting first, put 290 runs on the board. In reply, the Shreyas Iyer-led tumbled for 183 runs. India A strengthed their lead as Pratham Singh and Tilak Varma's century forced India A to declare innings after 380/3 on the board.

It was a special inning for Tilak Varma as he missed the Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka tour because of injury. He made a special return to first-class cricket and remained unbeaten on 111 (193), which featured nine fours.

Avesh Khan's Gesture For Tilak Varma

After completing his century, Varma celebrated it by throwing a fist in the air. He received a standing ovation from his dug-out, but Avesh Khan stood out from the rest, as he imitated Tilak Varma's celebration, which the MI star batter usually does to reflect his bond with Rohit Sharma's daughter Samaira.

Tilak's Bond With Rohit Sharma's Daughter

Tilak, who rose to fame for his stint with Mumbai Indians in IPL, has played a lot under Rohit Sharma. He also shares a special bond with Samaira. Varma brought this celebration after he scored his maiden fifty for India.

“It was towards Sammy, Rohit bhai’s daughter. I am very close to Sammy. I had promised her that whenever I will score a century or a fifty, I will do a celebration for her,” Varma had said earlier explaining the reason behind his celebration.
