Musheer, Rinku Become Victims As MI's Anshul Kamboj Claims A Five-Wicket Haul

In the ongoing Duleep Trophy match between India C and India B in Anantapur, Mumbai Indians' new talent, Anshul Kamboj, has turned the course of the game in his side's favour with a five-wicket haul. 

India C, batting first, put 525 runs on the board, courtesy of a century from Ishan Kishan and fifty-plus scores from Baba Indrajith, Manav Suthar, and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. In reply, India B started on a strong note as Abhimanyu Easwaran and Narayan Jagadeesan stitched a 129-run stand for the first wicket.

However, Anshul Kamboj drew the first blood for his side and got rid of Jagadeesan. The 23-year-old stunned the B side with his spell as he took wickets of Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Rinku Singh to claim a five-wicket haul. Courtesy of Kamboj's spell, India B, who were 129/0 at one point were reduced to 194/5. 

Kamboj took his fifth wicket of the innings with a peach of a delivery that rattled Nitish Reddy's stumps. 

Who Is Anshul Kamboj?

Anshul, who took the internet by storm with his sensational bowling, is a Mumbai Indians' talent. MI bought him for 20 lakhs in the 2024 auction. The right-arm seamer played three matches in IPL 2024 and took two wickets. He made his debut on May 6th against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The Haryana-based cricket is trying to make a mark as he has done well for his state in first-class cricket. The youngster has played nine T20 matches, taken 11 wickets, and scored 22 runs with the bat.
