In a sensational display of outstanding striking, Sarfaraz Khan's 19-year-old brother Musheer Khan scored a century for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy Final. It went down as a remarkable knock amidst immense mental pressure and tough conditions.

As Mumbai walked out to set a target for Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy final, the former was hit with two big blows as both openers were sent packing in quick successions.

However, a young 19-year-old Musheer Khan, who recently impressed in the U-19 World Cup, displayed an unreal temperament to rebuild the innings alongside captain Ajinkya Rahane.

The duo stitched a 100+ runs partnership before Rahane perished to Harsh Dubey. Regardless, Musheer then partnered with Shreyas Iyer to keep the scoreboard ticking.

After toiling hard for the entire day, Musheer reaped the rewards of his hardwork and brought up a scintillating ton in the 91st over. He flicked Yash Thakur's angling delivery to backward square leg and fetched a couple of runs to complete his century.

Khan was visibly emotional, and his eyes filled up with happy tears as he raised his bat to soak in the applause of his teammates and the crowd of the Wankhede Stadium alike.

Notably, Musheer Khan just extended his dream run with the ton in the finals. He scored a double century in the quarter-finals of the Ranji Trophy and also had a hugely successful stint in the U19 World Cup held recently.

At just 19 years of age, Musheer is developing into a core part of Mumbai's Ranji Trophy squad, which is a huge achievement in itself.

Courtesy of Musheer's ton and Shreyas Iyer's half-century, Mumbai's lead is nearing 450 runs, which seems good enough to fetch them another Ranji Trophy title.
