Regarding Pakistan's most impactful players of all time, Shahid Afridi finds his place in the top half of the chart. Many fans were reminded of him on Sunday when Pakistan were up against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi for the crucial second and final Test, and it was Abrar Ahmed who made it happen.

The incident happened during the sixth over of Bangladesh’s innings when Khurram Shahzad bowled a full delivery to Zakir Hasan. The ball angled onto the pads, allowing Zakir to play one of his favourite shots. However, Abrar was perfectly placed at short mid-wicket, and he made no mistake while completing the catch.

Soon after, Abrar celebrated like Shahid Afridi with two fingers pointing towards the sky, while Khurram was pumped up to see his plan work.

Bangladesh In Tatters Vs Pakistan In Rawalpindi

Coming back to the match, Bangladesh have lost half of their side already at the time of writing this. They have only added 26 runs on the board, with 10.5 overs of play gone. 

Earlier, Pakistan posted 274 runs on the board, with Saim Ayub, Shan Masood, and Agha Salman smashing important half-centuries. On the other hand, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was Bangladesh’s most productive spinner, having picked up five wickets in the innings, while the returning Taskin Ahmed had three wickets beside his name.

Notably, Pakistan are 0-1 down in the series, and a win in the second Test will help them avoid a humiliation against Bangladesh, that too in their own backyard.
