It has been a long time since Shaheen Afridi avoided controversy off the field. And there is nothing new coming as per recent developments, and cricketpakistan.com shared the story to take this to the limelight.

As per the latest developments, Shaheen received ‘unfair treatment’ from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who dropped him from the playing XI in Pakistan’s ongoing second Test against Bangladesh. The report also added that the blame for the loss in Rawalpindi in the Test series opener was 'unfairly placed' on the left-arm quick.

PCB, Shaheen Afridi Not On The Same Page

"It has been revealed that a member of the national team management does not like Shaheen and played a key role in his exclusion from the second Test against Bangladesh. Although none of the players performed well in the match, Shaheen was unfairly singled out, leaving him visibly unhappy and disillusioned," the cricketpakistan.com report read.

As the report revealed, Shaheen, who just became a father, was granted permission to his new-born child Aliyaar after the first Test in Rawalpindi. However, he was called back two days later and was informed that he would be dropped from the second Test, leaving him completely shocked and disheartened.

Shaheen Has 'Unwanted' History With PCB

Of course, it was not the first time when Shaheen was badly treated by PCB. He was sacked from the Pakistan's T20I captaincy role just before the T20 World Cup 2024, which forced him to leave from the position after a very little stint.

Now, time will only tell how Shaheen and PCB will come to an agreement after all these happenings.
