Ahead of Kerala Cricket League (KCL) season 2, a special friendly match has been organised between two of the state’s biggest cricket stars, Sanju Samson and Sachin Baby, at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
The match, which starts at 7:30 PM IST on August 15, will not only entertain fans but also mark the inauguration of the stadium’s newly renovated floodlights.
Sanju Samson To Compete Against Sachin Baby
Sanju Samson, the costliest player in the KCL Season 2 auction after being picked by Kochi Blue Tigers for ₹26.75 lakh, will captain the KCA Secretary’s XI. His team includes strong names like Krishna Prasad, Vishnu Vinod, Salman Nizar, and pace star Basil Thampi.
On the other side, Kerala’s Ranji Trophy captain Sachin Baby will lead the KCA President’s XI, which features explosive opener Rohan Kunnummal, hard-hitting wicketkeeper Mohammed Azharuddeen, and experienced spinner S Midhun.
