Indian opener Abhishek Sharma set the stage on fire with his astonishing 61 off 31 balls knock against Sri Lanka in the final Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2025. With this half-century, Sharma tumbled record books.

Sri Lanka faced India in a dead-rubber Super Four match and opted to bowl first. The men in blue, having qualified for the final already, sent Abhishek to open the innings with Shubman Gill.

Meanwhile, opener Abhishek Sharma, who has been in the form of his life, continued his dream run against Sri Lanka. He dominated the powerplay, scoring a half-century in just 22 balls. 

He went on to finish with 61 runs off just 31 balls, with 8 fours, 2 sixes and a 196.66 strike rate. Owing to his incredible knock, India posted 72 runs on the board inside the first six overs.
