Mumbai Indians Women crashed UP Warriorz by 42 runs in Delhi to register their fourth win of the WPL 2024 season. With the win consolidating them at number two on the WPL 2024 points table, the occasion sparked much celebration within their camp in the dressing room.

Moreover, Mumbai Indians players also took this opportunity to celebrate the 35th birthday of their captain and star performer Harmanpreet Kaur.

The franchise shared a minute-long video of the birthday festivities on their social media accounts the following morning, where a number of Mumbai Indians players can be seen expressing their admirations for the senior Indian cricketer.

Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Mumbai Indians franchise has secured four wins out of their six league fixtures so far, and are currently placed at number two on the WPL 2024 points table.

During their 42-run win over UP Warriorz, the captain herself listed an enterprising 33 in the middle overs before Amelia Kerr’s 23-ball 39 and Sajeevan Sajana’s 14-ball 22* took Mumbai to 160-6. Kaur’s leadership attributes came to the fore later in the evening as the defending champions restricted the Warriorz to just 118 off their 20 overs.

Mumbai Indians will now face Gujarat Giants in match number 16 of the tournament. The much-awaited contest will be staged on March 9.
