Prashant Solanki delivered exceptional match-winning figures of 4-13 against Kolhapur Tuskers in match number eight of the Maharashtra Premier League 2025 (MPL 2025) season. Leading Eagle Nashik Titans at the MCA Stadium in Pune, Solanki dismissed well-set Tuskers batters Vishant More and Shrikant Mundhe before cleaning up the tail in his four-over spell.
Through his latest spin masterclass, Solanki also extended his wickets tally this MPL 2025 season, as he briefly rekindled glimpses of the promise that once earned him a spot in the Chennai Super Kings squad back in IPL 2022.
Once A CSK Pick, Prashant Solanki Wreaks Havoc With 4-13
Eagle Nashik Titans captain and wily leg-spinner Prashant Solanki entangled Kolhapur Tuskers batters with his sharp turn and subtle variations at Pune’s MCA Stadium on Monday, June 9. Taking field for the Titans in match number eight of the MPL 2025 season, the 25-year-old removed well-set Vishant More and Shrikant Mundhe before setting his sights on new arrivals Dhanraj Shinde and Rajneesh Gurbani.
Solanki eventually claimed sensational figures of 4-13 as Eagle Nashik Titans kept Kolhapur Tuskers to just 134-9 from 20 overs upfront.
As it turned out, the Titans overhauled their target with four wickets and nearly four overs intact in the game, with number four Rohan Damle anchoring the chase by cracking a swift 45. Opening batter Arshin Kulkarni also crafted 42 runs from 34 balls with a boundary and three huge sixes at the top of the order.
Prashant Solanki Form And Past CSK Connection
Prashant Solanki extended his MPL 2025 tally to six wickets from three matches, catapulting himself to number two on the list of the season’s most successful bowlers.
Back in IPL 2022, Solanki was part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise and even received a couple of opportunities in the playing XI. Despite impressing in his limited chances, the Maharashtra cricketer was released by the franchise ahead of the following season.
With his latest performance, coupled with CSK’s ongoing spin struggles, Prashant Solanki might well have rung a bell or two within the franchise’s think tank.
