Australia A won the second unofficial Test against India A by 6 wickets to clinch a series sweep victory. In a 168-run chase on Day 3, Prasidh Krishna’s sensational opening over reduced Australia to 1-2. However, Sam Konstas and Beau Webster’s 95-run partnership led to a comfortable chase.

Here's how the AUS A vs IND A 2nd unofficial Test panned out in Melbourne:

AUS A vs IND A Highlights: Neser wipes out India's top order

India A batted first in challenging conditions of MCG, and Michael Neser breathed fire with the new ball. He removed Abhimanyu and Sudharsan for a duck before dismissing Ruturaj Gaikwad for 4 runs as India A stumbled to 11/4. Neser picked up an injury immediately after and was ruled out from the game. Fortunately, Dhruv Jurel’s 80 off 186 balls steered the visitors to a respectable first-innings total of 161.

AUS A vs IND A Highlights: Marcus Harris anchors Aussie’s fightback

Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed drew early bloods to remove McSweeney and Cameron Bancroft. However, Marcus Harris built a 68-run partnership with Peirson to stabilise the innings. Prasidh Krishna left a noteworthy impact with 4 wickets in 16 overs as he got the breakthrough to remove Harris in the 54th over. Australia then crumbled to 223/10, with a 62-run important lead in hand.

AUS A vs IND A Highlights: India’s top order continues to disappoint

Indian batters were never comfortable in this Test as the top order once again surrendered, this time against Webster and Rocchiccioli. KL Rahul’s embarrassing brain fade moment was a highlight of the collapse. Sai Sudharsan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Abhimanyu again failed to score more than 15 runs. Meanwhile, Jurel (68) and Nitish Reddy (38) had a 94-run partnership for the 6th wicket. Tanush Kotian also contributed with 44 off 84 balls as India A somehow managed to set up a 168-run target for Australia A

AUS A vs IND A Highlights: Prasidh Krishna’s fiery start wasted as Australia sweep India

Prasidh Krishna added life to the one-sided contest by 2 early wickets. He removed Cameron Bancroft and Marcus Harris in two successive deliveries of the very first over. A fuller delivery with a hint of late swing was enough to force a faint outside edge from Harris as he departed for a golden duck. For Bancroft, Krishna nailed a deadly yorker that beat him in a plumb LBW dismissal. Mukesh broke the 48-run stand by beating McSweeney before Kotian joined the party with Davies’ wicket.

However, Sam Konstas (73) and Beau Webster (46) initiated a rescue effort to sail Australia’s chase. A 95-run partnership for the 5th wicket helped Australia win the contest by 6 wickets and seal a series sweep victory.
