India's emerging star, Dhruv Jurel has grabbed the centre stage after his brilliant heroics that helped his team come out of the dirt in the on-going India A vs Australia A second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Dhruv Jurel came in to bat when India A were at 11 runs having lost four crucial wickets, however he held his nerves and ensured that his team gets a fighting chance and eventually played a valiant and crucial knock of 80 runs off 186. However, he did miss out on a well-deserving ton against Australia A.
In the 55th over, captain Nathan McSweeney unleashed a tossed up delivery right at the stumps, Jurel went for a heaver across the line however did not get to the pitch of it. As a result of which he got a top edge that went high in the air. Ollie Davies, came in from the deep mid wicket region and settled right under the ball before making an easy catch.

India A was bowled out for just 161 runs in 57.1 overs against Australia A, with Dhruv Jurel, the standout performer, scoring a gritty 80. The top order once again crumbled under pressure from Australia A's pace attack, with only Jurel, Devdutt Padikkal (26), Nitish Kumar Reddy (16), and Prasidh Krishna (14) reaching double figures.
Michael Neser was the chief destroyer, taking 4 wickets for 27 runs before injuring himself and leaving the field. Scott Boland claimed the key wicket of KL Rahul, while Beau Webster added three wickets, dismantling India A's middle order.
After Tea, Australia A's spinners, Nathan McSweeney and Corey Rocchiccioli, wrapped up the remaining two wickets within just over 4 overs to complete the innings. At the time of writing, Australia A were 40/1, losing skipper McSweeney early in the innings.
