RCB fast bowler Yash Dayal showcased his immense talent and potential as a rising star in Indian cricket with impressive 3-1-3-0 figures in the opening day match of the UP T20 League. 

Yash Dayal produced a heroic comeback from the dead in the IPL 2024 season. After getting belted for five sixes of Rinku Singh in IPL 2023, Dayal was axed by Gujarat Titans.

However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) offered him a second chance at redemption and the bowler grabbed it with both hands. He picked up 15 wickets in 14 games at a 9.14 economy rate. Dayal was amongst the top 5 leading wicket takers in IPL in the uncapped category.

Meanwhile, to further push his candidature for a spot in the national team, Yash Dayal bowled an impressive economical spell in match 2 of the UP T20 League between Gorakhpur Lions vs Noida Super Kings.

Dominating Win For Gorakhpur Lions In UP T20 League 2024

The Lions batted first to post a daunting total of 218 runs on the board. While the total was still chaseable, Yash Dayal tightened the leash with a sensational three-over spell in the powerplay. 

He bowled a maiden and was hit for just 3 runs. Shivam Sharma and Saurabh Kumar took advantage of the pressure built by Dayal to dismantle the top order and eventually bowl out the Super Kings at just 127 runs.

Notably, Yash Dayal has been on the radar of Indian selectors for a while now. The left-arm pacer has shown an impressive knack for picking up key wickets and maintaining economy rates that are vital in the T20 format.

And his recent performances in the UP T20 League 2024 have only added to the growing belief that Dayal is ready for the next step in his career.
