In a heartwarming turn of events, Pakistan’s renowned speedster, Shaheen Shah Afridi, recently took to social media to share his joy and emotions after becoming a father to a baby boy named Aliyaar Afridi.

Shaheen Afridi married his childhood sweetheart Ansha Afridi who is also the daughter of legendary former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi in an intimate ceremony in 2023.

The couple have always kept their personal lives under wraps. But Ansha was often spotted in the stadiums supporting her husband. 

Meanwhile, ahead of the Bangladesh Test series, rumors stated that Shaheen Afridi was expecting a baby and might be relieved of his duties, citing personal reasons.

Shaheen Afridi shares incredible feeling of being a dad!

While Ansha gave birth to a baby boy on 24th August, Shaheen Afridi was out in the field sweating it out against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi.

That being said, as the first Test wrapped up on Sunday, Shaheen Shah Afridi shared an emotional note through his social media to thank the fans and supporters for their wishes on the birth of his son.

Afridi revealed how the moment is special and has changed his life forever. His life has just gotten a whole lot better with his son’s arrival, and he is grateful for the gift.

Not only that, Afridi thanked his wife for bearing hardships in bringing their son into this world and referred to Ansha as the support system of their little family.

Earlier, Shahid Afridi, who became a grandfather at the age of 47, thanked the fans for their good wishes and urged people to keep their family’s well-being in their prayers.
