Mumbai Indians have offered their fans a glimpse into their brand-new jersey for the upcoming 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The unveiling was made special with a photoshoot, where former captain Rohit Sharma and star player Ishan Kishan grabbed the limelight.

Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting season, donning their fresh kits that has an eye-catching blue and gold theme.

 

IPL 2024: Rohit & Kishan's playful antics went viral

The official social media channels of the team were abuzz with a video that showcased the likes of Indian cricket stalwarts such as Hardik, Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah, Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and a host of talented young players. 

The players presented themselves in their uber-cool avatars, leaving fans and followers eagerly anticipating the action.

A notable highlight from the photoshoot was the playful synergy between Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. 

The duo, known for their on-field opening partnership, brought their off-field energy to the forefront as they posed on a scooter, sharing light-hearted moments that reflected their strong bond.

Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that after India won the fourth Test against England recently, Rohit highlighted the importance of passion and hunger in playing red-ball cricket. 

Some perceived his comments as a subtle nudge towards Ishan Kishan, who had been away from the domestic circuit and focused instead on training sessions in Baroda with the Pandya brothers.

Despite the murmurs, the chemistry between Rohit and Kishan appears unscathed, proved by their collaboration in Mumbai Indians' latest campaign. 

The pair is slated to open the batting for Mumbai Indians as they hunt for their sixth title. MI’s IPL 2024 campaign will commence against Gujarat Titans on March 24 in Ahmedabad.
