Swashbuckling West Indies batter Kieron Pollard recreated famous Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's iconic pose from the Hera Pheri movie during Southern Brave's The Hundred 2024 encounter against Welsh Fire on Monday night. After taking a simple catch, Pollard posed like the famed actor, while staring at the buzzy home crowd.

The incident occurred during the penultimate set of Welsh Fire's innings after Southern Brave set a 140-run target for them.

The Fire sustained their poor run with the bat, as they lost wickets in clusters to find themselves in deep trouble at one stage.

Veteran all-rounder David Willey emerged as their wrecker-in-chief with the bat, but experienced seamer Tymal Mills got his prized scalp to hit the final nail in the coffin.

From over the wicket, Mills bowled a slow full-length ball around the middle stump. As Willey went down-town, he was deceived by the lack of pace, miscuing the aerial shot.

Pollard, stationed at long on, took a simple catch to conclude Willey's 14-ball stay in the middle. Known for his exceptional fielding skills, Pollard has been magnificent on the field in the tournament.

After completing the catch, he stared at the home crowd, imitating the famous movie pose to tease them.

With the emphatic 42-run victory, Southern Brave dethroned Oval Invincibles to claim the top spot in the points table.

Interestingly, they will take on the Invincibles in their next group-stage fixture on August 8 at Kennington Oval.
