Chasing a modest target of 131 runs, MI were in a spot of bother, placed at 91 for five in 13.2 overs at one stage.
However, Pollard unleashed his beast mode, hammering a blistering 12-ball 33* and powering his side to a four-wicket victory.
Although he hit three massive sixes, one of his maximums got the fans' maximum attention as it hit a fan on her shoulder.
As Los Angeles' Spencer Johnson came around the wicket to bowl a full length delivery on Pollard's pads, as the batter timed it beautifully for a magnificent six over the square leg.
However, unfortunately, the fan couldn't get herself out of the ball's way, eventually being struck on her shoulders.
After the match concluded, Pollard showed a big heart and apologised to the fan. He also clicked selfies with her family members, making her day memorable.
With the clinical win over LAKR, MI New York made a wildcard entry to the playoffs. They will face Texas Super Kings in the Eliminator.
