In a heartwarming moment, Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood mainstream actress Anushka Sharma greeted Nitish Reddy’s family at MCG during the fourth Test between India and Australia. Reddy’s family met the actress for the first time, and all of them turned up to support Team India.

Nitish Reddy, a 21-year-old promising all-rounder, made the world stand up and take notice of his batting brilliance at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). 

Facing Australia in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Reddy slammed his maiden Test century to rescue India from an alarming situation. He paired up with Washington Sundar to knit a 100+ run partnership, thus reducing Australia’s first-innings lead.

Meanwhile, Reddy’s family marked their attendance at MCG for the special occasion. Before the all-rounder made waves on Day 3, his family met Virat Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma.

The photo, shared by Nitish’s father on Instagram, captures Anushka in a casual white top, denim pants, and black flats. Moreover, fans also spotted Athiya Shetty, accompanying her husband KL Rahul, in the background of the photograph.

The viral image has garnered widespread attention, with fans praising Anushka’s grace and her connection with cricket families.

Reddy’s father reduced to tears as son gets a century at MCG

India’s young all-rounder, Nitish Reddy, batting at No. 8, achieved a stunning milestone, becoming the first Indian in that position to score a Test hundred in Australia. The historic moment was made even more emotional by the presence of Nitish’s father, who was captured in tears of joy after his son reached the century mark. 

However, Reddy had a challenging stint in the 90s, marked by drama and pressure. He handed strike to Jasprit Bumrah for an over against Pat Cummins, leading to Bumrah’s dismissal. Mohammad Siraj, the last man standing, blocked Cummins and gave Nitish the opportunity to complete his ton. Finally, on the 171st ball of his innings, Nitish drove Boland through the covers for four to accomplish a personal milestone.
