Centuriuon weather [Souerce: @bcci/x.com]
The 1st Test match between South Africa and Pakistan has reached an interesting point with the Proteas having the upper hand at the moment. Ideally, they would like to dismiss the Pakistan batters cheaply on Day 3, but it seems the rain god has some other plans.
Currently, it is drizzling in Centurion and the entire ground has been covered by the groundstaffs. As expected, the start of Day 3 will be delayed and the fans could be in line for a long delay. As per Accuweather, there is a 90% chance of rain today.
The weather was gloomy on Day 1 and Day 2 as well, but luckily, there was no rain and the entire game took place easily. However, the start of the third day has been affected as the players wait to get on the field. As per Accuweather, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with a couple of rain showers and a possibility of thunderstorm as well.
South Africa have the upper hand in 1st Test
Pakistan side were out into bat first and the team had a disastrous start as they lost wickets in tandems. However, Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Rizwan had a brief partnership as they solidified the innings.
Ghulam scored a half-century but hardly got any support from the other end as the team got bundled out for a paltry 211.
In reply, South African debutant, Corbin Bosch produced a miraculous innings as he became the first Proteas player to pick up a 4-wicket haul in a Test match and score a fifty. He took his side out of a precarious situation as the home side posted 301.
Pakistan, right from the start looked in jeopardy in their second innings and have already lost 3 wickets for 88 runs and still trail by 2 runs.
