Nevertheless, Garvit had a lucky day as his idol scored a 93 at Kotambi Stadium a few days later. Against New Zealand, Virat went on a successful parade during the chase of 301, only falling 7 runs shy of a century.
Virat has been on a great run since his Australia ODIs. In the span of last 6 months, he has boasted an average of 93.8 from 7 ODI matches while having two centuries and 3 half-centuries.
