The Indian cricket team is currently training in Vadodara ahead of the New Zealand ODI series, which is set to begin on January 11. During a net session on January 9, Virat Kohli was spotted in a heartwarming moment outside the practice area that quickly caught attention on social media.

Virat Kohli, who flew to Vadodara a few days earlier after being in ravishing form during the South Africa ODIs, was seen meeting and greeting a few young fans after his training session.

Known for his mischievous and lively nature in his younger days, Virat Kohli was giving autographs to children wearing India jerseys when a small boy, who strikingly resembled a younger version of the Indian batter, appeared in front of him.

With a broad smile on his face, Kohli signed an autograph for the small boy with chubby cheeks, as many felt the youngster looked uncannily similar to Kohli’s childhood avatar. While no further details about the child are known, the photo from the interaction quickly went viral on social media.

Reacting to the moment, one X user wrote, “Mini Virat getting autograph from the real one. Time travel vibes.” Another user commented, “The kid is looking so cute and same as Virat Kohli younger version.”

Meanwhile, the Delhi-born star is gearing up to continue his scintillating form against New Zealand in the coming days. During the South Africa ODI series, Kohli scored two centuries in three matches while averaging an impressive 151.00.

He also fulfilled the BCCI’s domestic mandate by featuring in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he registered scores of 131 and 77, further underlining his dominant run with the bat and carrying forward his blistering form.
