As excitement around the newly released 'Singham Again' continues to soar, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and the Rohit Shetty, discuss their passion for cricket. During a recent appearance on The Ranveer Show podcast, hosted by Ranveer Allahbadia, the duo revealed their admiration for some of India's most iconic cricketers.

During the conversation in the show, when Ajay Devgn was asked about his favourite cricketer, he picked MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma.

 The veteran actor, known for his persona on-screen and off, explained his deep respect for the two star players and he also appreciated them for their significant leadership qualities and calm demeanour.

"Mujhe Dhoni and Rohit dono bahut pasand hai (I am very fond of Dhoni and Rohit). I like Surya [Suryakumar] also and Bumrah, Kapil Dev [childhood hero] and many more."

Rohit Shetty Talks About MS Dhoni's Contribution Beyond Cricket

When the same question was asked to Rohit Shetty he stated that MS Dhoni's is his favourite cricketer off all time. He even added that he admires him not just for his cricketing prowess but also for his resilience and strategic mindset.

He added that Dhoni's determination and ability to stay composed on the field has inspired him and it serve as life lessons beyond cricket. 

"For me, it's MS Dhoni [favorite cricketer]. As a captain, you learn from him. The attitude - till the last ball he doesn't give up. It's not just the game - how he plans things, his attitude. I think that's something you learn more than [anything]. Obviously, you are a fan of him, but more than fan, it's like you get inspired by him. You can understand the moves when you are watching a match or his interviews or when people talk about it. [He delivers] high-level performance [while] being calm," Shetty added.

It is worth mentioning that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been highly criticised because of their recent performance in the recently concluded series against New Zealand. As India's next crucial tour of Australia knocks on the door, it will be interesting to see how these two most important players perform in Australia and will the Indian team make a strong comeback after facing a humiliating series defeat on home soil against New Zealand.
