On Thursday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) delivered a dominant performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), winning by a commanding 80 runs at Eden Gardens. While the victory was a collective effort from the team, it was KKR's owner, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who stole the limelight with his heartfelt message to the players after the match.
SRK's Special Message For KKR
Although SRK was not present at the stadium, he made sure to connect with his team, sending a message that was read aloud by none other than KKR CEO Venky Mysore.
“Wow! I guess the secret to a game like this is that I should come on screen during the team meetings before the match. You all played like champions – we are awesome! Well done Angkrish, you were sublime. Ajinkya was fantastic – captain’s innings and great strategy. And Venky – don’t think too far ahead, just enjoy the moment, that’s where you belong. Fantastic! Rinku – so happy to see you smile again, you’re a champ! Bowlers, well done – Sunil and Varun, it is magical to see you both bowl together.
The actor did not leave anyone out, recognising crucial performers like Rinku Singh, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakravarthy, and others for their individual brilliance.
We are fortunate to have you here. Harshit – nice catch bro and great bowling! And Vaibhav – you were the star today. Wow, Vaibhav – we played to a plan. Congrats Moin bhai and Ramandeep—it was a united effort. Anukul, good catch! Not leaving without one learning from this match – mainly, listen to what Quinton de Kock says. All the best, I wish I was there to party with you all. Will join you soon!”
