This evening, Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) in the 16th group-stage encounter of the IPL 2025. Led by Hardik Pandya, MI have recorded one win in three matches, claiming the sixth position in the IPL 2025 points table.
Will Jasprit Bumrah Play Today?
Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have missed Jasprit Bumrah on three consecutive occasions in the IPL 2025. It's worth mentioning that Bumrah sustained a back injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, sidelining him from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
According to the latest update, Bumrah has yet to receive fitness clearance for the IPL 2025. Although he has started warming up, the fast bowler hasn't bowled full tilt at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
As reported earlier, Bumrah will likely join the MI camp around mid-April. So, in all likelihood, he won't feature in tonight's high-voltage MI vs LSG match in the IPL 2025.
MI's Performance In IPL 2025
Led by Pandya, MI had a disastrous start to the season, losing their first two games. However, their last game against KKR witnessed MI's dominance, as they thrashed the defending champions by eight wickets.
After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, MI restricted KKR to a paltry 116-run total, courtesy of Ashwani Kumar's sensational spell. In response, Ryan Rickelton's blistering half-century helped them gun down the target inside 13 overs.
