Another Feather On KKR’s Hat Of Glory
After starting the tournament with a setback, Kolkata Knight Riders made a remarkable bounce-back. Fuelled by home support, they outclassed Sunrisers Hyderabad from start to finish, sealing a resounding 80-run victory.
Just not this, the victory scripted another thrilling milestone for them in the IPL arena. With this dominant win, they etched their name in history as the first team to notch 20+ victories against three different IPL teams, creating a long-lasting legacy in the IPL.
The Knights have registered 20 victories against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad. But their dominance shines even brighter against Punjab Kings, having conquered them 21 times on the grand IPL stage.
KKR Crush SRH In A Commanding Show Of Dominance
After a tough loss to the Mumbai Indians, KKR came roaring back with a vengeance against SRH. After losing the first two wickets early on while batting first, the team made an outstanding comeback.
Rahane’s steady 38 and Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s fighting 50 laid the foundation, but it was Venkatesh Iyer’s explosive 60 and Rinku Singh’s unbeaten 32 that powered KKR to a formidable total.
While defending their total, Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana tore through SRH’s aggressive top order, dismissing the first three batters within three overs. While SRH was eyeing a comeback, the KKR bowlers’ dominance restricted them from doing so.
Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakravarthy claimed three wickets each. Bundling SRH out for just 120, KKR sealed a commanding 80-run victory with dominance.
