Rahane DRS blunder [Source: @mrcricketuae/X.com]
Normally, Ajinkya Rahane is shrewd as a leader and has an eye for wicket as a leader. However, during the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, Rahane refused to take a DRS call and it almost costed them the match as Heinrich Klaasen, the SRH danger man was at the crease.
Rahane fumes at his decision
The incident unfolded as Sunil Narine, the KKR spinner bowled a length ball and Klaasen gets beaten on the inside-edge as he tried to slog it over the off-side. Rahane was tentative on the DRS call, but decided against it.
When the replays were shown, there was a spike on the bat and it clearly showed that Klaasen was out. Rahane fumed over his decision as his face turned red. Even Sunil Narine couldn't believe Heinrich Klaasen's luck as the dangerous batter survived the catch call.
However, his stay was short-lived as Rahane took a sigh of relief when the batter was dismissed for a 21-ball 33.
KKR destroy SRH batters
KKR batters, especially Venkatesh Iyer made a mockery of the SRH bowlers as they scored 200/6 in their 20 overs. In reply SRH batters were expected to perform well, but they all crumbled under pressure as the top-3 went back to the pavilion without any significant contribution.
Kamindu Mendis and Heinrich Klaasen tried a bit, but the target was always too big to overhaul as KKR bowlers ran riot and thrashed the Orange Army by 80 runs to win their second game of the competition.
