Shikhar Dhawan, one of India's most prolific white-ball openers, has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 38-year-old cricketer leaves behind a legacy of remarkable achievements, having scored 10,867 runs in 269 matches for India, including 24 centuries. 

Dhawan's journey in international cricket may have ended, but he hinted at continuing his cricketing career in league cricket, especially the Indian Premier League (IPL).

 I Would Happily Do It: Shikhar Dhawan

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Dhawan was asked about a potential biopic on his life. When questioned about which Bollywood actors could play his role, Shikhar Dhawan expressed his excitement and suggested two of the industry's biggest stars. 

“I would love it, only if it is made well. As for me acting in it, I would happily do it in case I added any value to the film. As for other actors, I would love for Akshay Paaji (Akshay Kumar) to do it, or even Ranveer Singh, for the sheer energy he has,” Dhawan said.

While announcing his retirement, Dhawan shared his feelings of contentment and gratitude. 

“As I close this chapter of my cricketing journey, I carry with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind,” he posted on social media.
