Pakistan achieved a shambolic feat in the ongoing first Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, recording their lowest-ever score against Bangladesh in the purest format. After taking a substantial lead in the first innings, the Tigers bowled the hosts out for 146, claiming the driving seat in the high-octane face-off.

Bowling all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh, scalping four crucial wickets.

After getting rid of last innings' centurion Mohammad Rizwan, Agha Salman and Shaheen Afridi, the off-spinner trapped Mohammad Ali plumb in front of the stumps.

The incident occurred during the 56th over of Pakistan's second innings when Ali and Khurram Shahzad were fighting an already lost battle for the hosts.

From over the wicket, Mehidy Hasan tossed the ball up beautifully, outfoxing Mohammad Ali with his guile and trajectory. The batter was in two minds whether to go forward or hang back. As a result, he was caught in the crease, with the ball striking him on his back pad.

As the Bangladesh players appealed for an LBW, the on-field umpire raised his finger, giving Ali out without any hesitation. The seamer challenged the decision, but he was disappointed as the TV umpire upheld the on-field decision.

Bangladesh on the verge of a memorable win vs Pakistan

Thus, Pakistan were bowled out for 146 runs, their lowest-ever total in a Test innings against Bangladesh. Chasing a mere 30-run target, the visitors were nine for no loss as of writing.
