In a heartwarming gesture that won over the cricket fan’s hearts, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi met a specially-abled fan and promised to invite him to future Lahore Qalandars matches in PSL.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, one of Pakistan’s most decorated and loved cricketers, has quickly become a key player for Pakistan across all formats of the game. 

While his on-field standout performance has been second to none, Afridi is admired for his humble nature and strong connection with fans off the field. Generally shy in nature, Afridi never fails to greet his fans from all age groups, including kids.

Recently, a specially abled kid, who deemed himself a massive fan of Shaheen Afridi, expressed his wish to meet the cricketer once. After mass appeal from the fans, Afridi agreed to meet the kid.

Amid the ongoing Test match against Bangladesh, Shaheen Afridi, who also recently became a father, took some time out to meet the kid. He signed a bat for him, and the entire interaction was heartwarming, to say the least. 

Moved by the kid’s enthusiasm and love for cricket, Shaheen made a special promise that he would invite him to future PSL matches of Lahore Qalandars, ensuring the fan could watch him play live.

Meanwhile, Pakistan appear in big trouble on Day 5 of the Rawalpindi Test.  Bangladesh are likely to win the contest, with Pakistan on the cusp of another loss at home.

On the other hand, it is needless to say that with the act of kindness, Shaheen has set an example for other athletes, highlighting the importance of giving back to the community and making sports inclusive for everyone.
