Not MSD; Bollywood's Janhvi Kapoor Names Virat Kohli And 'This' Cricketer As Favourites

The connection between Bollywood and cricket has a rich history, having seen several unions taking place over the past decade or so, with the most famous being Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. 

A fan most-liked amongst the new generation of actresses is Janhvi Kapoor, who has given stellar performances in movies like Dhadak, Roohi, and Mili. She recently, in a conversation, revealed two Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) players - Kohli and Dinesh Karthik - as her favourites. 

As per Aaj Tak, Kapoor stated that while she did not follow cricket earlier, now it has become a must-watch. For her upcoming movie 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi', the young actress was coached by none other than Karthik, whom she grew fond of.

"Virat Kohli sir and Dinesh Karthik are my favourite Cricketer in the World. Karthik because I have seen him working hard, he is such a lovely person,"  Janhvi Kapoor said.

The movie 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' revolves around former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who also has a bio-picture based on his cricketing journey named 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story'.  

Both Kohli, and Karthik apart from playing for India, have been teammates in RCB - firstly in 2015 and then since 2022. Currently, Kohli is spending time away from cricket with his family, while Karthik is busy doing his commentary stint for the ongoing India-England Test series.
