Virat Kohli Spotted In London After Announcing Son Akaay's Arrival (Check Pics)

Virat Kohli confirmed the reports and speculations of the legendary cricketer awaiting the birth of his second child on Tuesday (February 20) as he announced his wife and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma had given birth to their son 'Akaay' on February 15th. 

Triggering a wave of happiness for his passionate fanbase across the globe, Kohli unveiled the reason why he has been absent from the playing scene for India during the marquee five-match Test series against England. 

The cricketer got congratulatory remarks from fans and prominent faces on social media, disclosing that it was to be with his wife during the last days of her pregnancy that he missed his international commitments, with the BCCI only mentioning the cricketer was out due to "personal reasons". 


Kohli Spotted In London After Son's Birth 

In their elongated media release, the BCCI had requested the fans and the media not to speculate the cricketer's absence and to respect his privacy while he prioritises his family's welfare. The media did oblige, although it emerged that Kohli is not in India and has travelled abroad. 

It was then a rumour circulated that he was in London and giving his wife time and attention before she gave birth to their second child. Kohli confirmed this with a heartening post on his Instagram and Twitter handles, leading to an atmosphere of love and warmth towards the player as fans wished the cricketer well for becoming a father again. 

Kohli was spotted in London a day after confirming that he had named his son 'Akaay' and clicked by fans, with the picture going viral on social media. 

Having missed the Test series against England in its entirety, the great batter will be next seen on the cricket field during the IPL 2024 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
