In a magical crossover moment that brought together two different worlds of sport, Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh met German football superstar Thomas Müller during Major League Soccer (MLS) 2025. Both stars exchanged jerseys and took social media by storm.

The moment happened during the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and St. Louis City SC clash at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.

It was indeed the unexpected meeting of two sporting giants. Thomas Müller, who now plays for Vancouver Whitecaps after his surprising move from Bayern Munich, warmly greeted Yuvraj Singh before kickoff. 

This was followed by a warm gesture where the two swapped jerseys, an expression of respect and admiration between the football and cricket icons. As soon as photos and videos of their exchange hit social media, fans went wild. Many called it the “crossover of the year”, celebrating how cricket and football could unite people from every corner of the globe.

Yuvraj, remembered forever for his heroics in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup win and the 2011 ODI World Cup triumph, remains one of the most loved figures in Indian cricket. 

On the other hand, Thomas Müller, a 2014 FIFA World Cup champion with Germany and a legend at Bayern Munich, is one of the most decorated footballers of his generation. 

Müller Led Vancouver Whitecaps To Thrilling Win

That being said, the MLS match between Vancouver Whitecaps and St. Louis City went down to the wire with the scoreline flashing 2-2. However, during added injury time, Thomas Müller nailed a penalty to guide Vancouver to a 3-2 victory. With that win, Vancouver climbed to 3rd spot in the Western Conference points table.
