German Legend Thomas Muller Dons Kohli's Jersey, Wishes India Good Luck for WC Semis

One of the modern-day football legends, Germany's Thomas Müller has backed Team India ahead of Rohit Sharma and Co's semi-final clash against New Zealand in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. 

Müller, who plays for Bayern Munich, had earlier also wished the best of luck to the Indian cricket team before the start of World Cup 2023 in India.

The German midfielder took to the social media platform 'X' and in the clip, Müller unboxed the jersey and donned the Indian jersey, which had his name and jersey number inscribed on the back.

In his post, the 34-year-old also thanked former India captain Virat Kohli, while wishing the team best wishes as captioned, "Look at this, @imVkohli Thank you for the shirt, #TeamIndia! Good luck at the @cricketworldcup #esmuellert #Cricket”

Müller has appeared in 125 international matches for Germany, scoring 45 goals, while for Munich, the star player has featured in 452 games and slammed 145 goals. 

With nine wins in a row, India heads into the semi-finals high on confidence, and have every box ticked for them for this crucial encounter, that will be played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 

New Zealand, on the other hand, finished fourth in the group stage, despite having lost consecutive four matches, which is testimony to their grit and determination.
