Popular Indian singer Vishal Mishra revealed an inspirational lesson shared by maestro cricketer Sachin Tendulkar during an interaction over a dinner.

Mishra unveiled his deep-felt love and admiration for his favourite cricketer and shared a heartening tale involving the legendary Tendulkar.

Mishra said Tendulkar was gracious enough to share time over dinner with him and offered an invaluable life lesson with him when he innocently asked the great man, 'how does anyone become Sachin Tendulkar?'

Speaking during an interview with Journalist Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, the owner of the famed voice disclosed Tendulkar's incredible response based on the man's humble beginnings in Mumbai, one which has since acted as an inspiration for Mishra.

The interaction took place over a dinner at a special ceremony which both the individuals had attended with Tendulkar being the special guest of the night. As he sat down for dinner, Mishra was tapped by one of the caretakers of the evening and asked to leave the seat reserved for Tendulkar.

Mishra was initially hesitant and annoyed but upon learning that it was Tendulkar who was about to sit there, he obliged. However, when the Master Blaster learnt what was happening, he immediately rushed to Mishra and told him not to leave the chair and requested the singer to sit and eat with him at the same table.

As they started eating, Mishra quietly asked Tendulkar a wonderful question: "Sir, how does one become Sachin Tendulkar?". Tendulkar's response has stayed with Mishra since as the numero uno batter told him, "You just remember where you came from every time your head starts flying."

That one answer won Mishra's heart and the singer laid bare his Tendulkar influence by stating he has since learnt never to let the success get the better of him.

"I always remember my village, my roots whenever I taste huge success now," he said.
