Young cricket star Vaibhav Suryavanshi got a warm and emotional welcome when he returned to his hometown in Bihar after a fantastic performance in the Indian Premier League 2025.
Vaibhav made headlines by becoming the youngest player in IPL history to make his debut. He played for the Rajasthan Royals and quickly became one of their top batters. Even though the team had a rough season, winning only 4 out of 14 matches; Vaibhav stood out with his explosive batting.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi Gets A Warm Welcome
In a video shared by the Rajasthan Royals' social media, Vaibhav was seen happily cutting a cake with his neighbors after reaching home. The cake had "Boss Baby Vaibhav" written on it, and the young cricketer looked joyful as his community celebrated his success.
RR bought Vaibhav for ₹1.1 crore before the IPL 2025 season. The 14-year-old proved to be a great pick. In just 7 matches, he scored 252 runs at an incredible strike rate of over 206. He hit 18 fours and 24 sixes, including a record-breaking century.
Vaibhav made his debut against Lucknow Super Giants, hitting a six on the very first ball he faced and scoring 34 runs in his first match. But it was his second match where he truly shined, scoring a blazing 101* runs off 38 balls against Gujarat Titans, that made him the youngest player ever to score a century in IPL history.
After his outstanding IPL run, the bihar boy has now been selected to play for India’s Under-19 team. The team will tour England from June 24 to July 23, 2025. They’ll play one warm-up match, five one-day matches, and two multi-day games.
