WI vs IND | India Skipper Hardik Pandya Gifts Injured Fan Match Ball After Victory In 3rd T20I

India's stand-in T20I skipper Hardik Pandya is a hot favourite on social media. Pandya, who is already being criticised all over the internet for denying Tilak Varma a fifty in the third T20I against West Indies, managed to win hearts post-match.

Pandya, who struck the winning run for India while chasing 160 on Tuesday, ended up gifting match ball to a young female fan seated in the Providence Stadium in Guyana. As reported by India Today, after India's win, Pandya rushed towards the fan and jumped towards the fence to hand over a signed ball.

This kind gesture comes after the all-rounder accidentally injured the female during India's training session ahead of the all-important third T20I with the series on the line.

The fan came early to the stadium and got hit on the chin on Monday off a Pandya-hit shot, who was in the nets. The Gujarat Titans skipper then urged Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical staff to treat the fan and promised a special present in return as means of an apology.

Speaking about the match, India chased down 160 thanks to fifties from Suryakumar Yadav (83) and Tilak Varma (49*) after West Indies managed just 159 runs, where Kuldeep Yadav 3-for rocked the home side. For the Windies, captain Rovman Powell slammed a 19-ball 40* propelling their side to a modest score.

West Indies leads the five-match series 2-1, as teams shift base to Florida, USA for the remaining two matches, with the fourth game taking place on Saturday.
