England's Zak Crawley after a magnificent The Ashes 2023 series, has opened up about playing in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL). Crawley overcame demons from poor Pakistan and New Zealand tours and yielded rich dividends for England in the all-important Ashes at home against Australia.

The opener amassed 480 runs in five Tests, which include a whirlwind knock of 189 at Manchester. The Kent-batter holds a fairly decent record in T20 cricket, scoring 1,469 runs from 57 appearances, with one hundred and six fifties.

Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Crawley stated that IPL is the biggest franchise league and that if he has any 'realistic' chance, the left-handed batter will put his name in the auction.

Here's what Crawley said

"It's the biggest franchise tournament in the world. It's the only place to see all the best playing against each other. It's great cricket and to be able to test yourself in that tournament would be awesome.

We'll see how I go. If I score some runs and it looks like I've half a chance then, then potentially I will [put my name forward]. I'm a realistic guy though, so if I feel like there's no chance then I won't If I was good enough one day to play in the IPL and someone wanted me, then I'd absolutely love to go."

The 25-year-old has played for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL) and is currently featuring for London Spirit in The Hundred 2023 Men competition.
