MS Dhoni's 'Selfless' Clip Goes Viral After Hardik Pandya Denies Tilak Varma a Fifty in 3rd T20I

India escaped a T20I series loss against West Indies after winning the third encounter on Tuesday by seven wickets and will have two more chances to notch up a comeback in the series. However, after the match, the focus shifted drastically towards skipper Hardik Pandya as fans accused the all-rounder of foul play.

Pandya scored the winning run for India in the 18th over via a six, with newcomer Tilak Varma left stranded on 49*. Had Pandya given him the strike, Varma could have notched up his second consecutive T20I fifty in his debut series for India.

Fans were quick to compare Pandya's sour act to former captain MS Dhoni's selfless deed of opting to play a dot ball and let Virat Kohli hit the winning runs in the 2014 T20 World Cup semi-final clash against South Africa.

Chasing 173 to win, India found themselves two down for 77. However, Kohli took charge and slammed an unbeaten 72 off 44, laced with five fours and two sixes, to help the Men in Blue qualify for the tournament final. Meanwhile, Dhoni remained unbeaten on 0.

West Indies still lead the five-T20I series by 2-1, as the action for the final two matches shifts to Florida, USA, where both sides will clash in the fourth game on Saturday.
