Pakistan captain Babar Azam was defended by Imam Ul Haq after Ahmed Shehzad criticized him for his poor performance in the T20 World Cup.

Imam demands respect for Babar

Imam Ul Haq said that Babar Azam is a Pakistan legend, and he is someone who had played 250 international matches for Pakistan. Imam want that aspect to be considered when people abuse Babar.

Imam urged people not to judge Babar Azam based solely on his last 20 games. Instead, he asked everyone to consider Babar's performance over his last 250 games and respect his contributions.

"All of us have played for Pakistan and all of us have the right to criticise. None of us are satisfied with the team’s performance against India, but remember that the element of respect should not be ignored"- Imam ul Haq said.

Ahmed Shehzad had heavily criticised Babar Azam, calling him a 'Fake King.' Shehzad accused Babar of showing favouritism and blamed him for destroying domestic cricket.
