India has advanced to the Super Eights alongside Australia and South Africa in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

However, due to the ICC's pre-determined seedings for the group rounds, India is set to face Australia on June 24th, regardless of the remaining five teams that qualify for the Super Eights.

India Australia on June 24th

India will face Australia on June 24th because the ICC pre-seeded India as A1 and Australia as B2. The other two teams in India's Super Eights group will be Afghanistan and either Bangladesh or the Netherlands.

The T20 World Cup 2024 started with 20 teams and will narrow down to eight. The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 8 stage. The ICC has kept the same seedings for the Super 8 as in the league stages.

The Super 8 groups will be: A1, B2, C1, D2, and A2, B1, C2, D1. Since India (A1) and Australia (B2) are already decided, they will play each other on June 24 in St. Lucia.

India end USA's winning run

India ended USA's winning streak with a victory in a modest 111-run chase at Nassau County Stadium. On a pitch favoring pacers, Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh shone by claiming 4 wickets for just 9 runs. Vice-captain Hardik Pandya also contributed, taking 2 wickets to support Singh's efforts.

However, India's chase was not easy. India lost Virat Kohli for a duck and Rohit Sharma shortly after, both dismissed by USA's 32-year-old left-arm seamer Saurabh Netravalkar

Despite the early setbacks, Suryakumar Yadav played a pivotal role, scoring his first fifty of the tournament and guiding India to victory.
