It Was a fantastic day 2 for the Indian team in the ongoing first Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth as KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal stitched an unbeaten 172-run stand for the opening wicket. Australia are trailing behind in the game after collapsing for just 104 runs in the first innings.

Day 1 was neutral for both teams, maybe slightly bent towards India as the visitors tumbled for just 104 runs while Australia lost seven wickets without 100 on the board. On the other hand, after stumps on day 2, India lead by 218 runs.

It has been an excellent redemption by the batting unit, as they were under the scanner after failure on day 1. Meanwhile, a special moment occurred after the end of play on day 2 as Virat Kohli was seen rushing on the ground to practice ahead of day 3. 

The fans were impressed with Virat's hunger and grit to improve his flaws and shut the critics down by replicating his past heroics in Australia this time around. It is worth noting that Virat is going through a slump with the bat, as he scored just five runs in the first innings.
