The first Test between India and Australia has started on a bad note for India as they have been reduced to 32-3 in the first session. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal bagged ducks while India's main and most experienced batter, Virat Kohli could manage just five runs. The right-handed batter was removed by Josh Hazlewood in the 17th over and India have been rocked early.
The wicket of Virat Kohli came on the second delivery. Hazlwood bowled it touch shorter and the ball bouced sharply, climbing on Virat Kohli as he initially tried to pressed forward. However, he could not adjust on time and as he tried to get his bat away from the line of the ball, it kissed the ball and the ball went straight to Usman Khawaja at first slip. The Aussie took a sharp catch and Virat Kohli was left disappointed after a brief stay of 12 balls.
India Crumble After Winning The Toss
Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bat first. They made some bold changes in the XI with two debutants, Nitish Reddy and Harshit Rana. Washington Sundar has also been preferred over Ashwin and Jadeja, but India need a strong first innings score which after three early blows, looks like a difficult task. KL Rahul is holding one end up, and it is now upto other middle order batters to step up and deliver under pressure against the might of the Aussies. Josh Hazlewood has bagged two so far while Starc got the first wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal.
